'Realistic' Twilight Sparkle

Another experiment of mine: well, almost everypony looks beautiful and visually appealing, even if it's quite clear that some of them spend much more time/interest with such kind of thing - while Rarity probably spends a lot o time keeping her mane and fur like we see in the show, I don't think Twilight does more than the basic, and it's unlikely that Rainbow Dash even combs her mane everyday.
Also, even if the face and body of most ponies looks the same, except for whooves, eyes and some exceptional cases, they're not treated like that. Fluttershy seems to be naturally beautiful, for example, and no one ever treats Twilight or Pinkie Pie as 'pretty ponies' in the show, despite being visually nice.
Finally, there are many aspects from the ponies that should/could reflect on their appearence, but almost don't. AJ's legs don't look stronger, nor RD looks fittier than Rarity, and Pinkie Pie could deserve some extra pounds.

So, I'll try to draw some of the characters in a slightly more realistic way - starting with Twilight.

Well, Twilight basically represents the nerdy stereotype, and as MLP frequently abuses of such kind of stereotype, I think I can do the same.

First, Twi probably doesn't use make up, so her eyelashes don't need to be that long and curvy. As a stereotypical nerd, she could use glasses all the time (instead of the reading glasses only sometimes).

Next, her mane and fur is far too well kept - ok, she's organized, but I don't think she would mind to comp her mane during the day, nor cut it every few days. Her mane gets messier and messier as the day goes by.

Now, the nerd stereotypes: freckles around the face and body; and large, open ears; Poor Twilight must have suffered a lot when she was younger, maybe that's why she became so misanthrope (misanquine?).

The main feature: for me, the best part of party.mov is when Pinkie call's Twilight 'horseface', so I decided to go with it. Twilight's face is not delicate nor feminine, and quite horsy in fact. Sorry for doing this with you, Twi, but you're still the cutest horsefaced nerd pony around, for me ;D lol

Finally, I changed her body a little: she has some localized fat on her belly, as she hardly never excercizes, but she's too organized to get actually fat (or not?). To keep with the nerdy stereotypes, however, I made her particually non-sexy by giving her a notably small flank.

So, here's a more realistic Twilight: the ugly, nerdy girl who actually don't care for it enough to stop her studies - or her general excitement about Magic, Science and Books.
